Luke's Music Video Chat

TIPS:
  • The song you choose must be new or unknown to the mainstream music listeners this way you will not get completely sick of the song if it is new to you when you begin shooting and editing. Plus, this way there may be a chance of your music video being chosen as the actual music video for the song and receiving recognition for it.
  • Pop videos are ultimately commercials for bands.
  • For your pop video to succeed you must have: A TRACK --- A CONCEPT --- 3 STRANDS (performance in the studio, lip-sync on location and a narrative being the story of the video).
  • The strands should all flow into and from each other just as if some one was juggling them. For example the colours and mood should all be of one category.
  • Each strand should be equally strong in comparison to the rest.
  • You should never be too literal with your video as if the story follows the lyrics word for word.
