More Music Video Influences

Beyonce's 'Why Don't You Love Me?' is very similar to ours as it conforms to a 50s/60s (dated yet retro) style. At the beginning we can see the writing 'Why Don't You Love Me' in an old 'flicks' fashion, this is the same idea we have for the beginning of ours as we want to take our target audience back to a simpler era through Rosie. Although our target audience is predominantly teens, and young adults, this video may cause her fan base and target audience to grow older in age as it could create some nostalgia of their youth.

Another factor of this video is the iconography of BeyoncĂ© is seen through her powerful image of a strong independent woman. We would like Rosie to be portrayed as this strong independent woman like BeyoncĂ© it would start to create her own iconography and reputation that would be familiar amongst her fans and target audience.

The colour scheme of golds and images of wealth is something that we would like to feature in Rosie's video, as it shows her status and up and coming power in the music industry. However, we don't want to make this element too overpowering as the target audience will not warm to her as much as the Ariana Grande 'girl next door' image. Although, her power will grow with the increase of her fan base and position in the charts.

Other aspects of this video which will be similar to our video is the costumes, especially for the car washer, and gardener, they are very similar to our video setting the period in time and representing the different tasks around the house.
